True, there were protesters there with signage – but we wanted to hear the questions and the answers that were provided. Unfortunately, the venue chosen, or possibly the lack of foresight on behalf of the Doggett camp, did not allow for such. Heck, maybe it was planned that way, I cannot say. The crowd and current events called for a different type of meeting. His staff should have know it and planned for it.

He was smug. And when we could hear it was obvious that he wasn’t there to hear what the people had to say – we tried – but his mind is made up. He is going to vote in favor of the “HealthCare Plan” when it comes to the floor. It doesn’t matter what his constituents think and he made that very clear. Doggett was heckled when he gave answers (the ones we could hear) he was booed because the crowd did not like his position. And the crowd grew restless and the situation – depending on your view point – went downhill from there. He finally gave up – he couldn’t (or wouldn’t) speak to where we could hear and tried to leave. The crowd began chanting “Just Say No!” under the awning/porch of the Randall’s and it carried loudly!

Doggett tried to walk away – but the crowd followed him. He was followed right out to the car of one of his staffers. By the way – the only staffers he had there were very young girls. They attempted to help him control the crowd. The girl had managed to get the car backed out of the parking space but then it was surrounded. Doggett got in – saw that they wouldn’t be leaving – and he got back out. She started trying to bump the pedestrians with the vehicle. I tapped her windshield and explained that it was assault with a deadly weapon if she touched one of us with that car. He walked to the front of the car to try and walk her out of the parking lot – but the crowd swarmed between him and the car. It was a fiasco. They finally made it out of the parking lot – to cheers and sneers of the crowd having run off the coward.

The event was supposed to have been from 11-12:30 – I was out of there by 12:22 and had visited with many in the parking lot seemed like for 30 minutes or so after Doggett fled with his tail between his legs. I’m guessing it took a good 20 minutes from the time he started trying to leave until he finally did. So, he “spoke” for 30 minutes."

After all of the press of the past few days I firmly believe that Doggett set us up. That his camp knew what they were getting into. He was offered a sound system by the people at Randall's and he refused. It was recommended that he stand in a chair against the back wall so that his voice would project out and he could be heard - he refused.

Everything he said about the event in the press the past few days is a complete and total lie.

Time to send Doggett to the dog house.

Crap And Tax - Did The Bill Even Exist

Late yesterday we heard that representatives were asking to see a full copy of the bill being presented for vote (obviously indicating that they had not read it) and Ms. Pelosi refused their request. The elites have promised to pass a bill quickly, even though their specific proposals and how to pay for them have been very slow in coming. So legislation is speeding down the track without all the cars attached and without any idea how much fuel is needed to make it to the station. We don't know yet whether this train will deliver its passengers safely – or if we're headed for a train wreck.

I believe our top priority should be to lower the cost of health care, without reducing quality or access to care. Rising health care costs make it hard to make ends meet, whether you're putting together a family budget or a business plan. Health care costs have risen far faster than inflation in both good economic times and bad. Costs have forced many self-employed workers into the ranks of the uninsured. The American health care system now costs twice as much per capita as those in most of the developed world.

I believe we can lower the cost of health care without giving Washington more control over the decisions of doctors and patients. Yet more control in Washington is the vision behind the government plan proposed by Senator Edward Kennedy. To his credit, Senator Kennedy is the only Democrat on either end of Pennsylvania Avenue who has provided legislative detail on his specific health care reform proposals this year. But the more we learn about these proposals, the more concerned Americans should be that Washington elites will not fix the problems in our health care system, but only make them worse.

First, Senator Kennedy's bill will cost at least $1 trillion over the next ten years – and that's just the beginning. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates that this huge price tag will reduce the net uninsured population by less than 30 percent. The taxpayers' $1 trillion does not include the cost of increasing eligibility for Medicaid for people up to 50 percent above the poverty line.

Second, Senator Kennedy's bill includes a government-run health care plan that will force at least 15 million people to lose their current private health insurance. The Congressional Budget Office recognizes that no current provider can long compete against a government that calls the balls and strikes even as it takes the field. According to the independent Lewin Group, a government plan could eventually take away current health benefits from 119 million Americans, and force 130 million Americans into a Washington-run health care plan.

Third, a new Washington-run plan will increase the cost of private insurance. "Cost-shifting" occurs when a health care provider accepts low government reimbursement rates, but only if it can charge extra to those with private insurance. This cost-shifting acts like a hidden tax on millions of American families and small businesses. One respected actuary estimates that cost-shifting increases the average American family's health care premium by more than 10 percent, or more than $1,500. Adding another new government health care plan on top of Medicare and Medicaid will only increase this cost.

Fourth, a new Washington-run plan would lead to government rationing of health care. Just look at the results in Canada. Thousands of our friends to the north come to the United States every year for life-saving surgeries, after their government has told them they'll just have to wait. Various studies suggest that Canadians, especially the poor, are less healthy under socialized medicine than those in our own country. More and more Canadians want to reduce the role of government and expand private options for health care, even as elites in Washington want to move America in the opposite direction.

Fifth, a new government plan would replicate the model of Medicare and Medicaid, which illustrate everything that can go wrong with Washington-run health care. Costs for both plans have exploded. Low reimbursement rates force many providers out of the system, and many patients to long waiting lines. Taxpayers pay up to $90 billion a year in fraudulent and wasteful medical bills, about two-thirds of that in the Medicare program alone.

The Kennedy Bill has other provisions that would increase Washington's control of our health care system – including new punitive tax increases. If a family doesn't have a Washington-regulated health care plan, they would pay a new tax. If a small business owner doesn't offer a Washington-regulated plan for every employee, then she would pay a new tax. These tax increases are designed not to raise revenue to pay for health care, but to punish families and businesses that step out of line.

There are alternatives to a Washington takeover of the health care system, and the best of them will give patients more control over their care. Innovators in both government and the private sector have learned that empowering patients as consumers can lower costs. They've learned that the right incentives can encourage patients to make healthier choices, and providers to compete for their business. These are the ideas that can drive successful reform of our health care system.

Health care reform can be successful if we take the time to get it right. If our experience with the Stimulus Bill tells us anything, it's that when Congress acts too quickly, it often delivers bad policy. I will insist that the Administration and Congressional leaders give the American people plenty of time to understand their proposals, and decide what they mean for themselves and their families. Washington elites want to dictate to the American people the future of health care, but I believe the best solutions will come when Washington begins to listen.

Letter to Barak Obama

GLENN BECK: I got a letter from a woman in Arizona. She writes an open letter to our nation's leadership:

I'm a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?

Well, these are briefly my views and issues for which I seek representation:

One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This isn't to be confused with legal immigration.

Two, the TARP bill, I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars, I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don't you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? Why -- what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band-Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try -- please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now. Take a breath. Listen to the people. Let's just slow down and get some input from some nonpoliticians on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I'm busy. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not. It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all of the recent spending.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on you to bring our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzword is unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we're morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. You have awakened us, the patriotic spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office. We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us when he will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don't care. Political parties are meaningless to us. Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you. If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it. Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming.

Racism

When are we going to stop looking at the color of a person's skin and start looking at people as human beings - created equal and in the image of God? For one thing, if she's confirmed, there's every indication she'll be a big promoter of the radical gay agenda on the court. She's replacing David Souter, a lifelong bachelor and recluse who lived with his mother when he was appointed. President Bush Sr. assured us that the unknown Souter was a real conservative, but he turned into one of the biggest champions of gay rights on the court. Likewise, Sotomayor was briefly married thirty years ago, had no children, and has never remarried. She's certainly not going to be a friend of the traditional family, to put it mildly.

She is also a radical left wing Hispanic with deep seated biases in favor of her own race, and against other ethnic groups. Her ethnicity and her radical liberalism are the only reasons she's being considered for the high court. Qualified? Hardly - five of her rulings have been appealed to the Supreme Court, and they have overturned three of them, an appalling sixty percent rejection rate. This is all about pandering to Hispanics, and getting a radical liberal race hustler on the court. Sotomayor unashamedly belongs to a number of race based organizations, including the Puerto Rican Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Association of Judges of Hispanic Heritage, and the National Council of La Raza.

If you're not familiar with La Raza, it's a left wing Hispanic "advocacy" group whose name means "The Race" in Spanish. It's quite clear what they stand for, and Sotomayor has no problem being a member of such a group. (Just try to imagine the reaction if a white male judge belonged to a white advocacy group called The
Race.) La Raza supports amnesty for illegal aliens, increased immigration, more affirmative action and quotas for Hispanics, more welfare spending, and countless other big government programs to benefit Hispanics, whether here legally or not. They also have mounted a campaign to outlaw what they call "hate speech" about illegal immigration. They want it to be against the law to use words like "illegal alien", "invasion", "hordes", etc, to describe the hordes of illegal aliens that are invading America. In their view, pointing out that most illegals are poorly educated, low skilled, and often illiterate is also "hate speech" that should be criminalized. If they have their way, anyone who talks honestly about illegal immigration will risk going to prison. This is the group that Obama's Supreme Court nominee is proud to be a member of.

Sotomayor is proud of her racism. In a speech given at a law school in 2001, she said that a female Hispanic judge like herself is probably superior to a white male judge: "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion [as a judge] than a white male who hasn't lived that life." (Again, imagine the reaction if a white male judge had made the reverse argument.) She also said: "Personal experiences affect the facts that judges choose to see. My hope is that I will take the good from my experiences and extrapolate them further into areas with which I am unfamiliar. I simply do not know exactly what that difference will be in my judging. But I accept there will be some based on my gender and my Latina heritage." You'd better believe there are going to be "differences" in Sotomayor's rulings based on her gender and ethnicity. Nominating this brazen racist for the Supreme Court is nothing less than an assault on the rights of white working Americans.

If you need proof, just ask Frank Ricci. Who is Frank Ricci? He's a white firefighter in New Haven, Connecticut who wanted to be promoted to lieutenant. To qualify, he had to pass a test. So Frank Ricci quit his second job, spent a thousand dollars on study materials, and because he's dyslexic, paid a friend of his to spend hours reading the study materials onto audio tape. He then spent six months studying, about eight hours a day, in preparation for the test. All his hard work seemed to pay off, because he came in sixth out of dozens of applicants for eight promotions. I say it seemed to pay off, because despite his extraordinary efforts and his high score, Frank Ricci didn't get that promotion to lieutenant.

Why didn't Ricci get his well deserved promotion? It's because he's guilty of a crime - the crime of being a white man. Due to the fact that no black firefighters passed the test, the city of New Haven threw out everyone's scores, saying the test was "racially biased", even though they've spent millions of dollars to heavily stack the deck in favor of the black applicants. With the stroke of a pen, they destroyed Frank Ricci's dreams, and trashed his months of hard work, all in the name of affirmative action, quotas, and diversity.

So Frank Ricci and a dozen other white firefighters sued the city for violating their civil rights. The first court, incredibly, ruled against them. So they appealed, and the appeals court ruled against them, too. Guess who was one of the judges on the appeals court that upheld this blatant anti-white discrimination? Sonia Sotomayor! Not only did she uphold it, she wrote a terse, one paragraph ruling dismissing their claims. This is unheard of. Judges normally write lengthy rulings, sometimes hundreds of pages long, explaining their decision. In an equally unheard of development, one of her fellow appellate judges spoke out against this travesty, saying that Sotomayor's one paragraph ruling "contains no reference whatsoever to the constitutional claims at the core of this case" and its "perfunctory disposition rests uneasily with the weighty issues presented by this appeal." The U.S. Constitution, legitimate claims, weighty issues - those don't matter - not to Sotomayor to whom Frank Ricci is a white male oppressor, which means the government is free to trample his rights in order to benefit minorities.

With his first opportunity to fill a Supreme Court vacancy, Barack Obama has openly declared war on middle class America. This Sotomayor nomination is an ominous sign of just what the remainder of Obama's term holds for people like you and me, and our families. In his heart, Obama is a radical black activist who has nothing but contempt for people like us. During the campaign, lots of people exposed him as a racial radical with a chip on his shoulder, and a desire to "settle the score" with mainstream America on behalf of minorities. These researchers were ignored and marginalized by the mainstream media that fawned over Obama, who allowed him to cover up his past, and present himself as the "post-racial" candidate.

That "post-racial" business was an outright lie. He has now made that crystal clear by nominating Sotomayor, to whom race is sometimes all that matters. Obama said he looks for "empathy" in selecting judges for the federal bench. Make no mistake though. By "empathy", he doesn't mean what you or I mean when we use that word. We want judges who have empathy for victims of crime, for people who've been defrauded, assaulted, or otherwise harmed, and are seeking redress and blind justice from a fair and impartial court system.

That's what being a judge used to be all about and that's what most people understand when they hear the word "empathy" with respect to judicial nominees. That's because they think they're still living in the old America, and haven't yet come to grips with the fact that we're now living in Obama's America. In Obama's America, empathy in judges doesn't mean sympathizing with people who have been wronged by someone else, and striving to ensure that they get justice. It means sympathizing with and taking the side of "the oppressed," i.e. non-whites, homosexuals, radical feminists, illegal aliens, etc.

The flip side of Obama's "empathy" is apparent hatred and contempt for white people, traditional families, small business owners, evangelical Christians, conservatives, and everyone else that liberals call the "racist, heterosexist, nativist, Christianist, capitalist, homophobic power structure" in America. In other words, what most of us call normal people. These radical leftists regard folks like you and me and our children as the enemy, and it's their mission in life to put us in our supposed place, which to them means at the back of the bus. They're in charge now, and they fully intend to use their power to remake America in their image. If the Senate approves Sotomayor for the Supreme Court, Obama will know that he has carte blanche to escalate his all out war on traditional Americans. We've got to contact our Senators and demand that Sotomayor and all other far left nominees for the court be rejected or we'll vote them out of office. We cannot allow Barack Obama to get away with this.

If they approve her (and to be honest, with only 40 squishy Republicans in the US Senate, it's unlikely), it's time to get serious about finding a way for our beloved Texas to exit a system where Barack Obama and his racist friends interpret the laws that undergird our very life, liberty and material security. I have faith liberty will prevail, but only with much travail.

Sources:

http://washingtontimes.com/news/2009/may/27/60-reversal-of-sotomayor-rulings-gives-fodder-to-f/

http://www.abanet.org/publiced/hispanic_s.html

http://www.wecanstopthehate.org/videos/code_words_of_hate_video

http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=31785

http://www.nationaljournal.com/njmagazine/or_20090523_2724.php

http://blog.vdare.com/archives/2009/05/27/sonia-sotomayor-v-frank-ricci/

The Peter Morrison Report
http://www.PeterMorrisonReport.com
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Peter-Morrison/70301468419

PO Box 8742, Lumberton, TX 77657, USA

A Parable

He told them another parable:
"The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches."

~Matthew 13:31-32

Deep down inside of us, God has planted his kingdom. Jesus began his preaching by telling us to, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." It is so near it is inside us. It is growing day by day. God has done his part for us. He has given us this wonderful gift. We can respond by being aware of this kingdom gift. We can let God water and nourish this gift. We can also be an obstacle to this growth.

From us, as we cooperate, will come something that will supply our need and the need of those around us. What we see as small becomes large by the hand of God. As we live with our heads focused on the world, God grows a spiritual kingdom in us. He fills our needs. Our job is to be still and know he is God.

Lord, grow your kingdom in us. She is a follower. Her actions over the past week and a half only go to show that she follows whatever ideal is popular at the moment. In 2001 and 2002 – it was okay to “torture” our enemies to get information to protect the citizens of our country. That’s what our representatives should be doing, protecting us pretty much at all costs. And they were. And it was a popular thing to do.

But now, Obama has released the “torture memos” and should be tightly guarded secrets of how we obtain information from our enemies. But he needed to look good, a pick-me up in the eyes of his adoring fans, to distract everyone from other questionable things he was doing/planning (shocker, I know) and to counter his diminishing approval ratings. So, he saw an opportunity and he ran with it. And Nancy followed, yelling as loud as any other that what was done to these persons being held in custody was wrong and illegal, that they must be prosecuted and brought to justice. Unfortunately, she failed to remember that she actually was one that was briefed on these issues and that she accepted them, or at least went along with them, way back when enhance interrogation techniques (EITs) the thing to do. Oops, Nancy, that means you, too.

So, instead of just saying – “Hey, I approved of this back then but now feel that I was wrong” she created a whole web of lies that she’s actually getting caught up in. The more she talks, the more she lies and the more wound up in her own problem she becomes.

She’s not a leader, she is a follower. She should not be third in line for the Presidency. She needs to resign or be forcibly removed from her position as the Speaker of the House. She is doing no service at all to her country much less her party. What am I saying – she might be able to single-handedly bring down the Democratic Party. Hmmm…I may need to think about that position for a minute. Oh, nope, there are others doing as good a job as Nancy at bringing down their party – so yeah, get her off the podium, we cannot risk the possibility that she could someday be ruining (I meant running) the country.

I am amazed, however, that Democrats are calling her out. I mean, really, this whole “torture memo” problem was created by President Obama and the Democrats. They were trying to get more negativity stirred up against the conservatives and President Bush. But boy did this backfire.

And aren’t most of our elected officials lawyers by trade. So, did they all miss the lecture on “don’t ask any question that you don’t already know the answer to”? Heck anyone who watches enough Law & Order knows that one. So, someone failed to really do any homework and/or research to find out what was down the path of the “torture memo” issue. To me, this makes the administration look even more like a circus than it did before.

Releasing the “torture memos” was just another ill-conceived notion by the President and this administration. Now how can this be blamed on Bush? Hmmmm…I’m sure they’re working on that one.

Many people think that the EITs were/are bad actions. Fine. You are entitled to your beliefs. But these memos were released for purely political reasons, not to enlighten the American people. If they were about the truth then everything would have been released including the pages that showed results (good) of the EITs. But nope, they only wanted to create an uproar. And boy did they, just not the kind of uproar they had hoped.

Open your eyes and see what is happening. Obama doesn’t care about the truth. He is working hard to divide this country. He is setting us up for something really bad – and he knows it.

Obama makes himself look good by making others look bad. Not so much that he’s awesome – he just looks better than the person he’s trying to put down. That’s what he did during the election. He just ripped John McCain to pieces – and Gentleman John (I’m still pissed at him) refused to stoop to that level. Thanks John (but that’s another blog).

Now Obama released the EIT memos and with them some secrets of the CIA. Not really a good thing – unless you don’t care if our enemies know some of our secrets on how we deal with them. But Obama doesn’t care. That didn’t phase him in the least. But that’s part of the plan. Turn the citizens of the country against each other, devastate the country economically, release our intelligence secrets and then just wait on the enemy to demolish us – while he sits back and blames Bush.

Okay, CIA secrets now revealed. And Nancy puts the cherry on top by accusing the CIA of lying. That is just one more step to undermining the authority of those that are supposed to be protecting the United States. That single statement could light the fuse of the hate our enemies have for us.

Thanks guys – you’re doing an amazing job at devastating our country!

God please protect America – as our President refuses to do so.

We Weren't Loud Enough!!!

Time runs out for hundreds of House bills

12:00 AM CDT on Friday, May 15, 2009
By CHRISTY HOPPE / The Dallas Morning News
choppe@dallasnews.com

AUSTIN – The ability to carry a gun on college campuses died Thursday night, quietly, without a bang, like almost 200 other bills on a long list of business that didn't get done.

HARRY CABLUCK/The Associated Press
Rep. Norma Chavez, D-El Paso, was working her way through the stack of bills on her desk during the session in the House on Thursday in Austin. As the clock ticked down to that bewitching hour of midnight, bills that began the session as bright, shiny ideas found themselves just this side of Friday turned into pumpkins.

Rule are rules, and Thursday night was the last opportunity for all House legislation to have received its first vote before the chamber.

A list of about 350 proposals, their short little captions running down 24 legal-size pages, began in the optimism of a new morning, but by evening's dusk their hope had withered. As the brutal legislative clock moved through the dark night, most eventually became that which had killed them: dead lines.

On the list of what can't be salvaged this session, which ends June 1, was the campus carry bill.

"I don't think it has another chance," said its author, Rep. Joe Driver, R-Garland. "It leaves another gun-free zone out there."

To him, that is a terrible thing that cannot be addressed for another two years.

Driver regretted the session's slow pace, which began with the House electing its new leader, Joe Straus, and the transition put it a week behind its traditional schedule.

But this week, the tempo became excruciating to him. He lamented the House not working past 11:30 p.m., and every dinner and lunch break – that pushed his bill closer to its expiration date.

"It's crunch time. When we're only tackling a page every two hours, that's bad," Driver said.

Angela Hale, spokeswoman for Straus, said the House has taken breaks at the request of members so they could conduct other business, hold hearings and pass bills out of committee.

"There are always frustrations at this time of the session when bills don't make it to the floor. The speaker is trying to balance all of these concerns," she said.

Also unlikely to pass is a measure by Rep. Warren Chisum, R-Pampa, that would have pushed couples wanting to divorce into counseling before dissolving their marriage.

Besides those on the House agenda that didn't make it past deadline, all of the hundreds of House bills left in committees also perished.

Authors are looking for related Senate bills that will come through the House next and could be a place for their bills to be reborn as amendments.

Rep. Gary Elkins, R-Houston, was the author of the last bill on Thursday's list – HB 345, which would mandate businesses protect sensitive personal information in their files. He already knew its fate by mid-afternoon.

"We're not going to get there," he said.

But he was philosophical: "The Bible says the first shall be last and the last shall be first," he said. "I'm looking for a vehicle."

Hewbrews 10: 23-25

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for GOD, who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

This scripture just keeps calling out to me this week. We, conservatives, must continue to seek each other out and to uplift each other. We must stay informed so that we can continue the work we have all started. We must meet with each other as often as possible, in as many locations as possible. Our numbers will grow as we continue to be less and less afraid of speaking out, speaking the truth, and educating the uneducated. More will have their eyes opened to the truth and join us in our endeavor - but only if we speak it. If we remain silent, or stop speaking, the truth will not be heard. We must pray for each other and the work we are doing. Our work, though nation and world wide, and though carried out by many different groups and organizations - must remain for the collective good. We have one goal, therefore we are one body. We are not trying to single out any one person or even any one group. We are working together for the common good - to restore our country - our United States of America. God BLESS America.

Letter to the President

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

Mr. Obama:

I have had it with you and your administration, sir. Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate representative of the United States of America collectively or of me personally.

You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United States of America ... You are responsible to the citizens of the United States ... You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth.

I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world. Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of Europe ? Are you brain dead? What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about? Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century?

Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country? Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States ? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage. Do you not understand this?

Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans. Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia ... You don't showGreat Britain , our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia . How dare you, sir! How dare you!

You can't find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation because you don't want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque in Turkey ... You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves. What's the matter with you?

I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of yourselves, all of you.

You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously doubt it.

What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members - on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer. You haven't said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn't!

Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that's $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million - not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven't you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.

I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do. We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you. I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.

Sincerely,

Every real American

ACTION ALERT: Anti-Sanctuary Bill

One More Vote Needed to Pass Anti-Sanctuary City Bill in State Senate

All Republican Senators are on Board; Contact Democratic Senators Only

This is a special message for NumbersUSA members in Texas.

Dear Texas friends,

SB 358, which would prohibit local government "sanctuary city" policies that protect illegal aliens, needs just one more vote to pass the Texas State Senate. Sanctuary city policies enable violent criminal illegal aliens to remain within our communities without fear of being detected or deported. Too many Texans (including Texas law enforcement officers) have been killed or seriously injured because of the sanctuary given to illegal aliens by city officials.
• Sanctuary policies are illegal under Federal law, but a number of local governments in Texas still maintain policies that forbid police from asking about a person's immigration status or informing Federal immigration authorities about the presence of illegal aliens. The resulting safe havens make it easier for illegal aliens, including criminal aliens, to live undetected in the United States. It is dangerous, expensive and counterproductive to keep recycling illegal aliens through our justice system.
• Texas has sanctuary policies that do not just allow, but actually encourage illegal alien presence and activity. When public assistance agencies are prevented from inquiring about an applicant's immigration status, benefits are distributed to ineligible illegal aliens. These outrageous sanctuary policies are displacing benefits for needy Americans. Taxpayers should no longer have to foot the bill for illegal-alien public benefits.
• 90% of the U.S. based MS-13 gang members are foreign-born illegal aliens. (per "Line in the Sand: Confronting the Threat on the SW Border," Majority Staff of the House Committee on Homeland Security, Subcommittee on Investigations; 2006 U.S. Congressional Texas Hearings)

Talking Points for Straus, Dewhurst and Perry
• I expect you to use the full powers of your office to ensure passage of SB 358, a bill that would end dangerous sanctuary city policies in Texas. These illegal policies enable violent criminal illegal aliens to remain within our communities without fear of being detected or deported. Too many Texans (including Texas law enforcement officers) have been killed or seriously injured because of the sanctuary given to illegal aliens by city officials.
• Texas has sanctuary policies that do not just allow, but actually encourage illegal alien presence and activity. Where are Jesse Jackson and the Reverend Al Sharpton? If the "extremist" in this instance had been a liberal - the NAACP and all sorts of activists groups would be up in arms calling for investigations and asking for the officer's resignation, etc. Anything to get face-time for their causes, right or wrong. But,this is a conservative "extremist" here, so it's not news.

I don't claim know the entire story, I haven't had an opportunity to do more than read this one article. BUT if this is true, then the officer was in the wrong. We need to find out if he was acting of his own accord or if on orders from superiors.

I do hope that someone (an attorney) has already stepped up to assist this "extremist" to file a lawsuit against the officer, police department, city AND DHS for UNLAWFUL DETENTION!!!!!! It was, after all, the DHS memo that started this entire mess. We need to send a message, loud and clear, that this will not be tolerated.

Don't get me wrong - heck, I'm the wife of a cop (excuse me, Police Officer) and I worked in emergency services for 14 years. I know that bad officers do exist and because their mistakes become so public that the profession ends up with a black eye and a lot of good officers get bad raps for no reason. I'm not out to get the officer - I'm interested in teaching Washington that they really, truly need to think about all of the potential ramifications of their actions. They are releasing memos and reports left and right without any true regard for the residual damage they will cause. This must be stopped.

The leaders in Washington are afraid of us now. The once quite, shy, afraid to stir the pot conservatives are growing angrier by the day. Because we, historically, have just let them walk all over us (One reason the country is in the shape it's in today is because we haven't had the balls or backbone to stand up for ourselves, not as a collective) they don't know what we're capable of. The unknown is a scary thing. They know they are losing control and they are truly scared of what might come next. The only thing they know to try is to control us through fear. Fear of being labeled an extremist, fear of being put on the "watch list", of being jailed, would they go so far as to start "offing" us???

We must stand tall, shoulder to shoulder, and show them that WE ARE NOT AFRAID! We will now cower. We will not be controlled by fear or strong-armed into submission!

Ladies and gentlemen - it's time to bring out all of our bumper stickers and posters and flags and banners. Display them proudly. And if you're near Ball, LA - organize a parade!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Immigration

I'm sure I'm not the first to realize this but it's finally dawned on me why Obama wants to give amnesty to all of the ILLEGAL aliens. I mean, really, let's pass bill that protects pedofiles from being the victims of hate crimes. But when another member of the committed proposed an amendment that would also protect our veterans from hate crimes - the ammendment was rejected, but the bill made it though committee.

So, it's more important to protect pedofiles, persons who have sexually exploited children than it is to protect our veterans, those who have fought to defend our country and our way of life. What is wrong with this picture?

One of the statements against the amendment was to the effect that it's unimaginable that someone would single out a victim based on the fact that they were a memeber of the armed forces? Really? I mean the DHS report released last month very clearly stated that veterans returning from THE WAR ON TERROR were likely to become right-wing extremist. That statment alone, coming from our Federal Goverment totally sets these men and women up to be singled out based on their status as military personnel. The Federal Government is setting them up to be victimized, hell the government has victimized them, but then is denying them the protections that it is wanting to offer pedofiles.

I feel like a logical person in a very illogical world and it's not sittin well with me. Protect our veterans but take the f'in pedofiles into the pasture and rid the world them. They don't deserve protecting!!! Really, tell me who protected the children that they were victimizing. Of course, his staff had to issue their daily clarification or apology later. He's giving a new meaning to the phrase: "Say it ain't so, Joe. Say it ain't so!"

I fly on planes about five days a week. I shake lots of hands, lots of hands. I meet lots of people, lots of people. I do wash my hands and use sanitizer frequently, but I'm not in a panic and I'll tell you why:

Before Joe Biden told us to be afraid of the flu, an average of 100 Americans a day died from the regular old flu. That's right, without even the attention the media is giving to this strain, flu was serious, especially to babies, old people, or sick people who already had weak immune systems. Other people lived, but they just didn't feel like they would.

I've watched the Obama administration tell us how much they care about protecting lives from the flu. If they really want to help make children safer, let me make a suggestion: Start doing all you can to move this country to being pro-life.

Almost a million unborn children will die in their mother's womb because of elective abortion this year. These are not sick or unhealthy babies, they're just inconvenient.

And by ending their lives because they represent an economic disruption or a social interference to the mother, we've created a culture in which a human life is expendable because it represents an inconvenience.

It happens a million times a year in the United States. Where's the press conference by the president, or the warnings of the vice president, or the outline of steps to be taken issued by Homeland Security or the secretary of Health and Human Services?

There isn't one, because they all support the notion that it's OK to end the lives of perfectly healthy unborn babies because they are in someone's way.

Pandemic or Prestidigitation

Okay, I have a question. Was there really a situation with the Swine Flu? The numbers early last week were almost 200 had died in Mexico - and much panic and preparations followed those grim announcements. Now, officially, the number is down to only 19 confirmed dead because of the swine flu. How is that possible? What did kill the other 181 people? Was this an opportunity to cause panic here in the US to arrive at a particular end result in the hidden agenda of our president and the wizard?

Did the Obama adminstration take advantage of a good crisis just to get Kathleen Sebelius pushed through as the Health and Human Services Secretary? Really, it was snag, snag, snag and stall, stall, stall up until the "health crisis" evolved. Then almost overnight - bam - we have a new HHS Secretry. She neglected to do so, until it became popular to act treasonous. She said essentially, “we knew they could (waterboard), but weren’t told they would.” Does anyone…anyone at all…buy this?

She should be tried in front of a federal court and held accountable for lying to the American people.

Keep in mind, she’s third in line for Commander in Chief. Or is it?

While we’ve been busy watching and yelling at Washington, D.C. to stop spending, our local elected officials have been busily deciding how to spend the “stimulus” monies they are going to receive.

It's time to get busy again. If you think Washington is at fault for spending so much money – what about those receiving that money? Is your local community going to receive any funds? Are the projects short term ones, just to fix something up, or are they actually going to create a long-lasting job base in your community? It’s time to ask your local elected officials exactly what they plan to do with YOUR money.

Ask the hard, unpopular, questions. Seek the answers, and if you don't like the answers - then do something about it! Find out how much money is coming directly into your community from Washington. Seek the answers, and if you don't like the answers - then do something about it. Speak out! Let your local elected officials know that you are against the bailouts, against the TARP and against the so-called “stimulus” spending and that you do not want those funds coming into your community! If that means local tea parties and protests during city council meetings, county commissioner meetings then let’s do it.

My local county commissioners didn’t want to allow a Tea Party here. Now I know why. They are receiving millions from the federal government for some of those short-term projects. Now that I have opened my eyes – I intend to do something about it. They will know that I do not approve and I will work to prevent them from being re-elected if they go ahead and accept the funds.

What about schools and college campuses? Are they receiving any stimulus money? Are you an alumnus of one that’s getting some bail out money? Let the board of regents know you disapprove. Withhold sending any more of your hard-earned money to the Alumni Association or any other campus related entity. Use your voice. Stir up the dirt, get the campus conservatives involved and let’s protest.

It's time to turn the tables on them! Stir up the dirt and let's protest – but we must do it now, we cannot wait for the next big national protest, scheduled for July 4th. We must take action NOW. We are no longer a silent majority. We have a voice – use it to right the wrongs that are being nationwide to stop this ridiculous spending!

If you have been protesting and complaining about the ever increasing amount of government spending and don't contact your local officials...well then we know the answer to the very first question.

SILENT NO MORE!!!!

Swine Flu

President Obama, et al.,

We know there's plenty of pork in all of the spending bills you been passing, including your budget. There is no way that Obama didn't know about it. Most likely it was an orchestrated stunt that serves two purposes.

First, this photo is going to pop up again somewhere. Where? I'm going to bet it shows up at a time when Obama needs to show patriotism, a time when even his loyal worshippers are doubting his loyalties.

Then, a distraction to cause an uproar while something else, worse, was going on. Equate it to slight of hand. Only time will tell...But how great that he demonstrated outrage that it happened. Pretending that he had no knowledge. Who else can authorize such?

No matter who sent the planes up. SHAME ON YOU!!! How utterly shameful to not think of the psychological ramifications such an act would have on the citizens of that city.

And were you even thinking about the carbon footprint that was being left while that plane was being flown - or the

Please, please tell us how we should sacrifice and save for our country and our future while you spend $70,000 MINIMUM for a photo op? It's contagious, like other strains of the flu. But you can reduce the spread by taking standard precautions: wash your hands frequently and cover your mouth when you cough (with your elbow). It is highly contagious so if you feel ill - stay home, don't even go to the emergency room or your doctor's office without calling ahead.

Listen to the medical professionals - don't listen to the government! To them this just just another good crisis. They are using the panic caused by this illness as an opportunity to push their desire for national healthcare. President Obama has lready taken the opportunity to to blame previous administrations for lack of federal funding for scientific research potentially leading to this curent medical crisis.

So, use common sense and practice good hygiene. We'll get through this. This is a very controversial piece and as a Christian I am outraged by the depiction of Obama as The Messiah!

What message is Mr. D'Antuono sending? Is he trying to reveal more to us in this peice than meets the eye or is he just a simple, controversial artist?

My interpretation of the message only goes to further my theory that something more sinister is coming down the pipe from this President and his administration and I believe the artist has seen it and is sending out his own warning message. So through my outrage I might thank the artist as he may open the eyes of many others out there.

Does Obama see himself as the Messiah - as was proclaimed during campaigs last year? Is he a lamb that is going to be sacrificed for the causes of those leading him just as those radical Islamists (suicide bombers, hijackers on 9/11) who believed they were acting in the best interest of their faith/foundations? Are we being set up for something far worse than 9/11 by our own president?

The depiction of Obama with the crown of thorns and his arms widespread - as was my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ when he sacrificed himself for me - only deepens my fear that more is going on around us than many have their eyes opened to. At this point, I can only pray that I am wrong! But if I am correct - I then pray that our eyes are opened to our folly before it is too late!

God Bless Amercia!

The Peter Morrison Report - Texas Voting Legislation

Summary of this week's report:

Rep. Todd Smith, chairman of the House Elections Committee, has stated he wants to wait four years before requiring voter ID laws in our elections. Let him know this is unacceptable.

Please call his office at (512) 463-0522 and demand he pass voter ID laws in time for the 2010 elections, and that we cannot wait another election to stop the massive fraud that is disenfranchising legitimate Texas voters. Please send a fax as well by clicking here:

http://www.morrisonreport.com/fax_test/index.php?faxID=75

The full report:

There's an old saying that politics is the art of compromise.
There's a lot of truth in that - any politician or party has to be able to recognize just how much can be achieved at any given moment, and sometimes you have to settle for less than you'd hoped for. That's one form of compromise - a realistic, level headed approach to what's possible, and what's not. There's another form of political compromise, however, and there's nothing praiseworthy about it. That's when a gutless politician betrays his principles, party and supporters by kowtowing to the opposition in an attempt to curry favor with them and the media.

This second, reprehensible form of compromise seems to be practiced only by Republicans these days, and there's an awful lot of it going around. We've got an outrageous example of this cowardly form of compromise going on right now in Austin. Conservative Texans just fought a long, hard battle to bring the much needed Voter ID bill before both the House and Senate. If this bill becomes law, it's going to eliminate a lot of voter fraud all over the state. Voter fraud is a rampant problem in Texas, and across the nation. We've got people voting even though they're not registered. Some people vote several times because under current law they don't have to show ID to vote.

The Voter ID law would change all that. Democrats have fought the
bill tooth and nail, because almost all voter fraud is in favor of their party. Nevertheless, Republicans have been standing firm to get this bill passed, thanks in large part to you and thousands of other patriotic Texans holding their feet to the fire. Incredibly though, just when it looked as if we were on the verge of turning the bill into the law of the land, one Republican compromiser has decided to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. His name is Todd Smith, and if he has his way, this bill will be seriously weakened.

Representative Todd Smith is the chairman of the House Elections Committee, and as such, has a lot of influence over proceedings and his fellow members. Smith has decided that the time isn't right to implement the Voter ID law. He thinks we need to wait four years before eliminating voter fraud. So he has introduced his own version which won't take effect until 2014, instead of next year, as the original bill required. "My preferred period of transition would be two full election cycles," Smith told The Associated Press. "It's my intent that there be a period of time where people are literally educated as they vote."

Let me translate that for you: "I know the people who voted for me support this bill, but I'm more interested in groveling to the media and liberals than representing the people who elected me. So I've come up with a compromise bill that will hold off on stopping voter fraud for four years. That will give the liberals plenty of time to repeal the law. This way I can pretend to be representing my constituents' interests, but I won't get called names by Democrats and the media."

That may sound harsh, but that's what it boils down to. There is not one good reason to delay the implementation of a Voter ID law from next year until 2014. There are a whole host of reasons not to put it off. Yet we've got a Republican committee chairman proposing to do exactly that. This betrayal is even more outrageous when you consider that it took everything conservative Senators had in them to convince the Senate to suspend the 2/3 rule and even get the bill a hearing in the Texas Senate. Hundreds of people drove to Austin to demand passage of the original bill.
Now, if Todd Smith gets his way, all that work will have been for nothing.

It will all have been for nothing if you're a conservative Republican, that is. It will pay off handsomely for Todd Smith, though. Democrats love traitorous Republicans, and they're already patting Smith on the back for caving in to pressure and gutting the Voter ID law. Here's how one liberal Democrat, Rep. Rafael Anchia, praised Smith for his craven betrayal of the conservative voters who elected him. "We've never heard anything like that from the Republicans in the past, so I think Todd is trying to set the right tone for the discussions," Anchia said. "In the past it's always been a cram down. There's been no input. We've always been playing defense in the House and we've always been run over."

In other words, with Republican turncoats like Todd Smith across the aisle, why should Democrats care that they're in the minority in Austin? They don't have to "play defense" anymore, when sellouts like Smith will just hand them the ball and start blocking tackles for them. It's not just Democrats who are suddenly in love with a Republican. The liberal media is, too. In the past couple day, Todd Smith has been the subject of fawning editorials in the Lubbock and Fort Worth papers for coming up with his "principled"
and "balanced" bill to postpone Voter ID for four more years.

Make no mistake - that's exactly why Todd Smith has betrayed his party and his constituents - to win the praise of Democrats and the liberal media. He wants to be seen as a "sensible, moderate"
Republican who can "reach across the aisle" instead of sticking to conservative principles. That's why liberals like Rep. Anchia and various liberal media outlets are singing his praises - because he's willing to betray his own party and help the Democrats.

We can't let this betrayal stand. It's not just because we've worked so long to bring the Voter ID bill up for a vote, although that's a huge reason to be outraged by Todd Smith selling us out.
No, it goes deeper than that. We've got to get this bill passed now - the one that mandates Voter ID in the 2010 elections - because if we don't, Voter ID may never become the law in Texas.

It's true that Republicans currently control both the House and Senate in Austin, but the majority in the House is razor thin, just 76-74. There's no guarantee that the GOP will continue to be the majority party, and there's a real risk that it won't. If we don't enact Voter ID now, but delay implementing it until 2014 and the Democrats win back control of one or both houses, that's it for Voter ID in Texas. Rest assured, if they take the reins, one of the first things Democrats will do is repeal it. Delaying it, and allowing voter fraud to continue for four more years, just means a whole lot more Democrat voters in the next couple elections.
Democrats know this, which is why they hate Voter ID, and why they love a turncoat like Todd Smith - if he gets his way, it will mean that they're that much closer to taking control in Austin and keeping it.

We can't let that happen. Please call Rep. Smith's office at (512)
463-0522 and demand he pass voter ID laws in time for the 2010 elections, and that we cannot wait another election to stop the massive fraud that is disenfranchising legitimate Texas voters.
Please send a fax as well by clicking here:

http://www.morrisonreport.com/fax_test/index.php?faxID=75

Sources:

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/tx/6346475.html

http://www.star-telegram.com/242/story/1290815.html

http://lubbockonline.com/stories/040109/edi_420615458.shtml

That's it for this report. What happened to meticulously carving out all unnnecessary spending like a surgeon with a scalpel - as stated in a pre-election debate? This "cut" is a show for the blind followers so say "See, I'm doing what they've asked and they're still not happy. Nothing will make them happy."

We've got to send loud message to Washington that this is unacceptable. But we also have to open the eyes of the blind so that they may be blessed with sight - sight to see that they are being made fools of. We probably won't be able to bring back those on the far left, but those that are just too prideful to admit that they were wrong, even though they've figured it out, we need work to bring them around. Now the question is how to go about it. How to make them so mad, not at us, that they just get infuriated that they were used and lied to. They have very loud voices and they were very active in getting this guy elected. Let's work to get them on our side as they could turn out to be very good activists to get him out of there!

A Sinister Agenda???

I must say I’m turning into a conspiracy theorist. I don’t think Obama is weak, stupid or ignorant as a lot of my conservative cohorts do. I think he knows exactly what he is doing. I think he’s a brilliant man and that he has an agenda, and it’s not about what is best for the USA. He’s got plans way beyond the US. I mean, if he had the best interests of this country in mind – then he would be working to bring this country together. He’s working to push us to opposite corners. There is enough internal conflict brewing that we are on course for an implosion.

I believe that the turmoil Biden predicted when he stated that this new president would be tested is actually and intentionally being setting up by Mr. Obama and his cronies. There have been so many things done and said, both small and large, to undermine security of our country (physical, economic, etc.) in the past 100 days that how could he not be setting us up for:
1) an attack from an enemy of the US 2) race and class wars 3) economic failure.
I am beginning to firmly believe that this was a plan, an agenda, and that there are many people behind it. I haven’t yet put my finger on why or what is driving this, but he has not worked to bring the country together – he’s actually creating more divisiveness than I’ve experienced in my lifetime. And it all started during his campaign when he announced that “we” would tell “them” that he’s black, he’s not like us, he talks funny – all that crap was said not as an offense to something “we” might do. It was a pointed effort to bring out what is happening now, if we disagree with him it’s not because we think he’s got a bad idea – it’s because we’re racist. He started it and I fear that he’s going to end it.

Town Hall for Hope - Dave Ramsey

The real hope
Place your hope in the scarred hands of Jesus. GET MOVING! When you inject yourself into the situation, activity helps you physically. Your best chance at success is you. If you're waiting on Congress to change your life, you've got a long wait. It's an attitude. Activity is going to be your answer.
The second step is to not participate in loser talk. If you get around a bunch of losers, you're going to be a loser.
The third step to get your hope back is to learn to give again. We talk about giving, and America is the best giving nation the world has ever known. If you are struggling and you give extra of your time or money, like serving the homeless, you'll get your eyes off hopelessness and your hope starts to come back.

Originally posted 4/23/09 by CT on http://www.townhallforhope.com/

I think that says it all! Today is San Jacinto Day. On this day in 1836 the Texians (now known as Texans) defeated Santa Anna's Army which brought the end of Mexico's rule over us.

I'm sure that other things were going on to create tension around here, but the main source of conflict was the shifting Mexican government. Coupled with the fact that newest ranking government was throwing out the constitution set forth by the previous. Wow, okay, this just keeps hitting closer and closer to home for me right now.

Over the past week it has been thrown out for open discussion that Texas and Texans should again fight for our independence - independence from the atrocity that has become the federal government.
